(September 18, 1933 – March 9, 2023)
Blake's career continued into adulthood, where he appeared in numerous films and television shows, including his iconic role in the 1967 film In Cold Blood and playing the lead character in the late 1970s television series Baretta. He was known for his versatility and ability to transition from child actor to mature roles, making his career "one of the longest in Hollywood history."
However, Blake's personal life was marked by tragedy and controversy. In 2001, his second wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, was murdered, and Blake was criminally tried but ultimately acquitted of the charges. However, he was found liable in a civil suit for Bakley's wrongful death.
Despite the controversies surrounding his personal life, Blake's contributions to the entertainment industry cannot be ignored. He was a talented and versatile actor who left his mark on the industry, particularly for his memorable performances as a child actor in the Our Gang series. We pay tribute to his life and career and extend our condolences to his family and loved ones.
