Lara Parker, an accomplished actress and author, best known for her captivating portrayal of the witch Angelique in the iconic gothic soap opera "Dark Shadows," passed away on October 12, at the age of 84. Born Mary Lamar Rickey on October 27, 1937, Parker's journey in the entertainment industry began when she landed her breakthrough role as the vengeful Angelique in Dan Curtis' ABC soap, which revolved around the enigmatic vampire Barnabas Collins, portrayed by Jonathan Frid. The series ran for five seasons, from 1966 to 1971, captivating audiences with its supernatural charm and unforgettable characters.

Parker's talent extended beyond "Dark Shadows" as she graced the screen in numerous television shows and films throughout her illustrious career. Her memorable appearances on shows such as One Life to Live, The Rockford Files, S.W.A.T., Emergency!, Kojak, and The Fall Guy showcased her versatility and captivating presence on the small screen.
