Memory of a great man Eddie Asner he was 92 (November 15, 1929 – August 29, 2021)

Eddie Asner was a talented and versatile actor, but he was much more than that. He was a man

of strong convictions and a tireless advocate for social justice. He served as president of the Screen Actors Guild during some of the organization's most tumultuous years, and he was always willing to use his celebrity to speak out on behalf of causes he believed in. Asner was a committed activist who worked tirelessly for peace, civil rights, and workers' rights, and he was never afraid to take a stand, even when it was unpopular or controversial.

(November 15, 1929 – August 29, 2021)

Asner's impressive acting career spanned several decades, and he appeared in a wide variety of television shows, films, and stage productions. He was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Lou Grant, a character he played for many years on both The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off, Lou Grant. Asner's outstanding work on these shows earned him a record-setting seven

Primetime Emmy Awards, making him the most honored male performer in the history of the awards.

But Asner was much more than a successful actor. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and a loyal friend to many. He was deeply committed to his family and his community, and he worked tirelessly to make the world a better place. Asner's passing in August 2021 was a great loss to the entertainment industry and to all those who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his many memorable performances and his tireless advocacy for social justice.
